Dr. Rivas Morales was born in El Salvador and migrated to the United States when he was nine years old. He has lived in Maryland since! His love for animals began during his time in El Salvador when he helped his grandparents care for their livestock and chickens. Even with his history of caring for animals, if you had told him in high school he would become a veterinarian, he would not have believed you. Now, though, he cannot imagine a different career path.

Dr. Morales went to the University of Maryland in College Park for his undergraduate degree in 2018 and graduated with a Bachelor's in Animal Science. In 2020, he decided to further his education by earning his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at St. Georges University and completing his clinical training at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

You can find Dr. Morales spending time with family and those close to him outside of work! He also enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and birdwatching!
